Guest guest
I went a few years back. I thought it was a total rip off. They tested for mycoplasma and I think clamydia pneumoniae. The doc x-rayed my entire body, which doctors have since said was beyond excessive as I didn't have joint pain at the time (now I do, of course). I went to him because he supposedly treats FMS and understands osteomyelitis (according to his website), but since I tested negative for his organisms, he would only prescribe overpriced supplements and charged me a couple of thousand dollars for testing, a lot of which insurance wouldn't pay for. They even sent me supplements I didn't want and charged me for them. Grrrr!!!! And he knew NOTHING about OM. I took a friend with me to the visit. She was appalled. We both felt that he's got a sweet little operation going there, ...for himself. I'm sure some patients who fit his cookie cutter profile may benefit, but if you're a pwc, I'd be wary. I also personally found the doc quite rude, but his associate who interviews you for the firsting meeting was a sweetheart. pennyamy poet <amydent9@...> wrote: has anone been to arthritis center of riverside recently, and I forget the drs name but the one who treated arthritis wiht antibiotics even 8 years ago.do people there arctually get well or do they crash again afterwhat tests do they use?amy__________________________________________________________Exercise your brain! Guest guest
I never went to Dr. Franco, but and Leslee Dudley liked him. I met him at the Chicago Conference for the MP. He seemed very kind and we talked for awhile. (He is from Peru, and my mom lived in Peru 10 years, so we may have had a connection - I don't know.)I was never his patient, and i have no idea what he would do with Lyme disease and other infections. He is on the rheumatic.org group for using antibiotics for arthritis. I hope this is helpful. I don't know more. a Carnes > > I went a few years back. I thought it was a total rip off. Guest guest
a The guy shopuld be on shonky watch his only interest is in lining his pockets. I think someone seeing hundreds of patients and organising hundreds if not thousands of tests every week without a decent strategy or outcome for his patient, is a freakin CROOK. The guy just has this come in spinner/sucker patient, another half million dollar take for the week as his motive...a you should take off your rose coloured glasses and really get hooked in to see where these types of arseholes stand with what is going on out there in autoimmunland. You just gave us a glowing report on the guys personality.ARGHHH. tony > > > > > > has anone been to arthritis center of riverside recently, and I > forget the > > drs name but the one who treated arthritis wiht antibiotics even 8 > years > > ago. > > > > do people there arctually get well or do they crash again after > > > > what tests do they use? > > > > amy > > > > __________________________________________________________ > > Exercise your brain! Guest guest
Tony, you obviously know nothing of Leslee Dudley. If she thought he was okay it was not about how nice he was. a Carnes > > a > The guy shopuld be on shonky watch his only interest is in lining his > pockets. Guest guest
That's probably because he tests for mycoplasma. And Leslee's big on Mycoplasma. But he doesn't acknowledge other organisms. He didn't listen to me at all. I kept telling him I didn't have pain, but he x-rayed me for arthritis anyway and prescribed high priced but useless Fibromyalgia supplements for the "pain" and told me I needed to get better sleep to deal with my "fatigue". He was very condescending. My own doctor here does a much better job and he doesn't charge me $2,000 and he actually suggests useful supplements to deal with what the organisms do to my body. You can ask my friend if you're not buying it from me. She was appalled, and she's been to more docs than she can probably remember. penny pjeanneus <pj7@...> wrote: Tony, you obviously know nothing of Leslee Dudley. Guest guest
a, Just another thought.. do you acknowledge that pain damages your body? I sort of know a few people that have had the neck pain, lower back pain, that went on to have metal bracing placed on there spines due to long term damages..spondilitis, bone fusions at a young age...Why would anyone want to promote some unseen untested theory of feeling worse to get better. All I've met on forums is feeling worse then getting surgery..So please let's focus in on the good science on offer and avoid supporting people that write good books but have no-one swinging from the ceiling screaming there cured. This group of ilnesses needs to be reversed aggresively early in the disease process as the best option for success anything else IMO is criminal. This(criminal) also applies to visiting the so called experts, who have all just recently discovered there patients have some serious shit heart disease develop.WHAT A BUNCH OF FUKWITS THIS GROUP HAVE TURNED OUT TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!To me the best science and understanding of these conditions is being discussed this week ...how a wave of ilness switches on, and surprisingly occasionally switches off, is this week's topic.. tony > > > > > > > > > > > > has anone been to arthritis center of riverside recently, and I > > > forget the > > > > drs name but the one who treated arthritis wiht antibiotics > even > > 8 > > > years > > > > ago. > > > > > > > > do people there arctually get well or do they crash again after > > > > > > > > what tests do they use? > > > > > > > > amy > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________________ > > > > Exercise your brain!
