Guest guest
I'd like to know some of the side effects of Miralax. , 7.5 months, has been on it for a few days. He's been doing this stevie wonder thing with his head. I think he did it before the miralax and he seems to be happy when he does it. He had bad reactions to Reglan, tardive dyskinesia-toungue thrusting. The nurse at the CF center is all for getting him off of it as soon as possible. I just sent her some stuff on magnesium deficiency which she is looking into. Guest guest
Hi Kim. What type of formula is your son on? We are switching Amaya to nutramigen which is hypoallergenic and very easy to break down. It is pretty expensive but some insurance comp. will cover if doctor writes a prescription. Ours does (thankfully)! We have noticed an immediate result after a day of being on it and we may even need to cut back on her lactulose because I had to change her 3 times in an hour due to her going so much. Before we would have to pump her legs up to her stomach to get her to go. She never went on her own. Good luck. Guest guest
hi, im new here, my son is 2 and a half and he has been dealing with constipation for over a year now. after altering his diet and supplementing with homeopathic drops and chinese herbs, and prune juice, aloe vera juice, i could go on and on... i took him to a chiropractor who adjusted him (i highly recommend this to you ladies) and he seemed to be fine for about 3 months. then the problem came back. i took him to another chiro (we moved) but it didnt do the trick this time. now i am trying to go wheat free but i dont really think that wheat is the problem. i finally took him to the dr and they prescribed miralax. i gave it to him for 5 days, and he finally pooped (i could feel a very hard blockage in his stomach) and he cleared out, but intuitively i just dont feel right about giving this to him. the dr said to keep him on it for 2 months! yikes. i wouldnt want to be on a drug for 2 months. so i havent given it to him since, but he is still constipated... i just joined this board so i can hear other stories and get ideas from everyone else. i have been reading very interesting things. i appreciate reading other stories and other ideas. i have gotten epsom slat as per someones idea and have yet to try it inthe bath for him.... looking forward to solving this..hopefully...! angie --- merrywbee wrote: > I approved 3 new members today, each of which has > seen adverse > personality/sleeping/gastrointestinal problems > following miralax.
