Chronic Fatigue/Gilberts Symdrome

It was recently discovered (thru screening for something else) that my

brother (age 55) has this hereditary condition.

Apparently this genetic anomoly in the liver has only been known about

10 years... I'm not on the CFS list any more- sp maybe someone will

cross post this- I don't ever remember Gilberts syndrome being

discussed on that list - but reference is made in these articles about

it.

I'll have to research it further- since I have had on occassion

mildly elevated bilirubin without elevated liver enzymes in association

with some drug metabolism ( case # 1: my relationship damaging

arguement with T. Marshall about whether I could metabolize Zith or

not- specifically whether my reaction (and elevated bilirubin while on

it) was a drug reaction or a herx.) This info adds more data in favor

of drug metabolic reaction.
