Guest guest
Hello Tony, Barb, Nelly, Penny and all, Tomorrow I see my doctor. She is open to working with me. I took the diflucan at 200 mg a day for 25 days, then took penicillin VK at 2000 mg a day for 14 days. DURING THE 2 WEEKS ON PENICILLIN ONLY MY HEADACHE COMPLETELY CLEARED, AS DID THE BRAIN FOG AND VERTIGO. Other joint and tendon symptoms remained. All my lumbar puncture tests were negative including cultures grown for 2 -4 weeks. There are still a few cultures that I have not seen the report. The CNS borrelia PCR was negative - I know this is meaningless. Okay, Tony, I realize I am not going to find out what infection I have. Clearly I have one. Since the penicillin worked should I ask to go back on that for several weeks? Should I just continue the second 25 day cycle of diflucan even though it doesn't relieve the headache? (The headache returned during the 6 days I was without penicillin or diflucan.) Now on Diflucan for 5 days it is no better at all. I realize this is Russian roulette, but some of you know a lot more about antibiotics than I do. I would appreciate any suggestions. a Carnes
Guest guest
a If you go back and read my posts over the years you'll see what I've been preaching all this time has come round and greeted you like a ton of bricks. This is basically an ilness that's CHRONIC and needs you to be tested LIKE SOMEONE SUFFERING A CHRONIC CPONDITION. If your scans look normal for a 100 year old it doesn't mean that this is normal for a 50 something year old. As a 100 year old is expected to lie down and do nothing, your not, so a diagnosis of HIGHER INTELLECT IS REQUIRED, NOT THE USUAL RUN OF THE MILL CRAP ON OFFER.. tony > > Hello Tony, Barb, Nelly, Penny and all, > > Tomorrow I see my doctor. Guest guest
If it were me, I'd tell my doc that the penicillin/diflucan was working and you'd like to stay on it. Basically you're describing my reactions to almost the same drugs. You've got an infection, they're just not finding it. pennypjeanneus <pj7@...> wrote: Hello Tony, Barb, Nelly, Penny and all,Tomorrow I see my doctor. She is open to working with me.
