Guest guest
CFS is not mentioned in this article. One patient is said to be "Chronic Fatigue" patient which (although the author and possibly even the doctor are ignorant of the difference) is not at all the same as Chronic Fatigue SYNDROME -- which by the way, has just been recommended to be changed to "Myalgic Encephalopthy" by a blue-ribbon panel ... although for historical reasons it will unfortunately be known as ME/CFS for some time to come. This name change will bring the U.S. in line with Canada and other countries who make the change a long time ago. This flippant name is disrespectful to women, men, and PWCs, and probably even to people with lesser problems and issues. But it's par for the course. It does however look like something a local clinic coined, and not anything resemblish an "official" name. --Bob Al Melillo wrote: A TV News report is being broadcast today on Chronic Fatigue in Women, and it appears that the new name for CFS will now be called "Worn Out Women Syndrome" or "WOWS". I saw the report on my local ABC News station. (My comment: A real insult to men, since men get CFS also! Seems like the CDC or NIH came up with this name, but not sure).
