Guest guest
No, it works like a herb, selectively killing some things, not others. Exactly the specifics, I don't remember. I know it also boosts NK white blood cells, which are definitely selective in what to kill. We have been on it for months, and no one has shown a need to go on probiotics, and we are not on any. I chose herbs specifically due to the complaints many have on probiotics effecting microflora. We are doing well, so I have no complaints. But, you might get some strong die-off the first month on Samento, so I recommend having a good die-off plan of liver support, detoxers, etc. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > Does this eradicate healthy gut flora, like antibiotics? > Thanks! > Dawn > > Sent from my iPhone >
Guest guest
Thank you so much for the quick response Heidi. I am relatively sure my daughter's borreliosis is coming back. We treated her for over a year with antibiotics. No good gut flora now, of course. She has been off of the antibiotics for approx. five mo.. HERE WE COME SAMENTO!!! > > > > Does this eradicate healthy gut flora, like antibiotics? > > Thanks! > > Dawn > > > > Sent from my iPhone > > >
Guest guest
We got reactions on day 4, but I imagine that everyone is different. It may depend upon your child's particular medical state, and also the other supplements he is on. Most do report some reaction, usually a worsening of symptoms and flu-like symptoms. Samento reportedly kills more than lyme, but most report really bad die-off symptoms when killing lyme, no matter which method they choose. Guest guest
Taking 4 weeks off doesn't make sense to me either. She says this is to give the immune system time to react to the Samento. But if my son has a TH2 immune system shift how could 5 drops of Samento for 3 weeks kick it into gear to react to Lyme? I am so frustrated and don't feel like I'm getting anywhere with helping my son. > > > > > > > > I've been giving my son 3 drops of Samento in the morning and 2 > > > > drops at night on an empty stoach. Guest guest
5 drops per day is a lot for a little guy. I was worried that it may be too much. I take it that there is still no reaction. Hummm... I know there are things like " Transfer Factor " (Dr Burrascano was promoting this for Researched Nutritionals) to help make the switch to a TH1 response, but I don't know if it is advised for toddlers or children. I don't think Samento helps much with the TH1/TH2 issue. So if that is a problem, I can see how that could cause a negative Western Blot. Are you doing that test and though IgeneX? I will ask my LLMD about testing after Samento. I see him Sunday. Take care, Rich (skiweasel7) > > Taking 4 weeks off doesn't make sense to me either. Guest guest
Thanks for the response. Yes, we've also tried Transfer Factor and yet again, no response. I don't get it. I've been scared away for so long from many treatments because they're supposed to be so intense and yet there's just NOTHING from my son. I'm afriad he's worse off than I ever imagined. I don't know where to turn to next. > > > > Taking 4 weeks off doesn't make sense to me either. She says this > > is to give the immune system time to react to the Samento. Guest guest
Don't worry too much. Children do get better with lyme treatments. Given your history, I'm sure lyme is a big factor in your son. In this case (and in almost every case), there is no easy answers to what treatment works. Some treatments work for some and not others. Also some treatments work well for a few months, and then stop working. But it seems the first step is to confirm the lyme diagnosis. A positive test helps (mainly as evidence to the outside world). Doctors need a strong lyme diagnosis to further protect themselves. Then they can try more aggressive measures. Hang in there. For every failed treatment, something can be learned. Over time, the puzzle will get more filled in and the solution may be easier to find. I've seen many children get better, and none that have gotten worse (except when treatment stops) or stayed the same. But it is going to take some time. I was told with my son that he will probably be treated for 1-7 years. That was 3.5 years ago. Take care, Rich (skiweasel7) > > Thanks for the response. Guest guest
My LLMD said to test right after 3-4 weeks of Samento (if using Samento). To clearify, I asked, " Would 3-4 weeks of Samento be useful before testing for lyme with IgeneX? " . The said that would be good. Then I asked, " Should the test be done right way, after the 3-4 weeks of Samento? " He said yes. I would think he would know best as he has strong ties to IgeneX. But he is no expert on Samento. So take it for what that is worth. Take care, Rich (skiweasel7) > > > > 5 drops per day is a lot for a little guy. I was worried that it > may > > be too much. Guest guest
will taking samento 3-4 weeks before a regular lyme test from md also help to get positive result.? im not sure what kind of test my dr is going to order but im sure it is whatever the cdc says to do, just wondering if samento would help get positive result quicker. thanks Subject: Re: SamentoTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Monday, December 15, 2008, 12:02 PM My LLMD said to test right after 3-4 weeks of Samento (if using Samento). Guest guest
I would think either antibiotics or an effective natural alternative (like Samento) will help the immune system produce the antibodies to fight the lyme. Thus bettering the odds on any Western Blot or test that looks for antibodies. My son tested positive after 4 weeks of antibiotics (he was equivocal before). That was before Samento and the other alternatives were commonly known about. I recommend IgeneX as the lab and the IgG and IgM Western Blots tests. Skip the . The test is an unnecessary step. Testing positive on the Western Blot on one or two lyme specific bands should be enough to consider it a positive test (do not use CDC standard). Take care, Rich (skiweasel7) P.S. Samento is very powerful to some. I always caution to ramp up very slow (I'd prefer increasing one drop every 2-3 days). In the case with the boy that may be stuck in a TH2 response, I was amazed that no herxing was seen at 5 drops a day. I was fearful of a horrible herx reaction. I guess there is a lot to do with the TH1/TH2 responses that I really knew nothing about. > > will taking samento 3-4 weeks before a regular lyme test from md also help to get positive result.? im not sure what kind of test my dr is going to order but im sure it is whatever the cdc says to do, just wondering if samento would help get positive result quicker. thanks >
