Guest guest
I use the book Yoga Bear with Isabella. You can see it here http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Bear-Youngsters--Pierce/dp/1559718978/ref=sr_1_1\ ?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1228757729 & sr=1-1 Isabella's PT recommended this when she was 3 1/2 years old (she is 6 1/2 yrs now) and we have been using it off and on ever since. She really enjoys it and has improved her strength and ability to perform the movements with more accuracy. She has great gross motor skills I believe because of doing yoga, walking lots and never putting her in a stroller since she was able to walk. She has competed in the 50 yd dash numerous times and loves to ride a bike with training wheels. All of this took lots of hard work, but it is amazing how I can motivate her to walk longer etc., by singing to her and making it fun. Hope this helps, Caroline Although after rereading your message I see your child is quite young, better to begin with yoga for the special needs child. That shows you how to put your child into the yoga position. I think a very good resource. Gotta run, have kids screaming, but if you cannot find it, I will email you a link to it later. mosaicbymoe wrote: > > Hi, > Who's doing yoga with their kids? > > Interested in movement resources out there. > > Thanks in advance, > Moe > Mom to Maia, age 9 mos w/extra #21 > >
