Guest guest Posted December 3, 2008 Report Share Posted December 3, 2008 Today was Faith's 3 year eval meeting at school. Really just a formality to continue services. Her gen ed teacher was there and related two stories about Faith. One day a boy in the lunch room had a melt down, the teacher couldn't handle him because she had all of her class so she called for help from another teacher. Faith went over to the boy and put her arm around him telling him everything would be alright. By the time other help arrived Faith was walking him up the stairs to the classroom! The teacher did not say the boy's name but when I asked Faith she told me it was R, who is a boy with Ds who is in the self contained class. Amazing!! She also told of a day during literacy week when an adult came in dressed as a pirate to read "Pirate Pink". Faith recognized the book and wanted to read it, so they let her. Teacher said she did a great job and when she got to the end she did not stop...she went back to the beginning and started asking questions! She apparently didn't have much patience for wrong answers either! Both her teachers demonstrated the hand on the hip "tsk".
