I guess I'm one of the 2,000 patients cited in this article as having undergone the new procedure. http://www.newsdial.com/sinusitis/balloonsinuplastysafe.html Unfortunately, I had the opposite result from the successes reported by most as I went from haivng no typical sinus symptoms (other than headaches), to now experiencing frequent sinus infections (and headaches). But I do believe that if you are going to have sinus surgery, this is a much safer, less damaging procedure than what's commonly done. (I can just imagine where I'd be if I'd had the radical surgery the other ENTS wanted me to have.) For people considering baloon sinuplasty, but can't find a doctor, there's a list of doctors at the end of the article who contributed to the study. penny
