********The annulus of my L5-S1 disk tore and a big gob of nucleus

came out. It pressed, and continues to press, directly on my

nerve. The pain in my foot was excruciating for a couple of weeks.

After a couple of months, I'm now able to walk upright. I still

have no achilles reflex and only about half calf strength. It's too

late for antibiotics to do much for this episode.

I've tried plenty of antibiotics. Cipro gave me a reaction I don't

want to repeat (I'm sure it was dangerously high intracranial

pressure). Antibiotics also gave me horrific " IBS " . I was shedding

my intestinal lining. It was C diff and vancomycin ended that. In

still another episode, an antibiotic cocktail gave me horrible, full-

body rash. I don't know which of the three antibiotics I reacted

to, so the list of antibiotic classes that I can now safely use in

an emergency is small.

I'm done with antibiotics for now. I wish it weren't so. I studied

antibiotics for about 2 years so I could do it right.

******My reflux was real, and was cured by CPAP, not provoked by

it. My whole esophagus would burn, and sometimes I'd wake up with

some acidic liquid stomach contents in the back of my throat.

I also found an article that suggests it may cause csf to

******In a previous post, I mentioned the documented role that

borrelia can play in ICH. It's why I'd still like to try

antibiotics. I think it's more likely in my case, though, that

pathogens are not causing the pressure. But I can't be sure.

Matt,

Have you read the stuff on what quinolones (cipro) can do to the

central nervous system? It ain't pretty. Mostly you will read about

tendon damage, but the nervous system is affected in a lot of case.

Let me know if you want the links to the articles.

I had my eyes examined today - all normal - no optic nerve swelling

or papilledema. I guess that is good. So next I go to a neurologist

here who specializes in headaches. I was told he does " miracles. "

I must add, just for this list, that I think both docs are Muslims.

Hey, if he heals me I could convert - NOT.

Matt:

Now that know what I know about the abx chemical classes- and the

liver's P450 enzyme system, and Lyme treatment - I think the liver is

the (drug)metabolic brain - so if there's a way to profile the

individual anomolies in the liver- then that sould be a test run

before mega/continual abx are prescribed (but I'm not sure that test

is widely available now).
