This topic is being discussed on an ICH site and someone put together a provocative post on how a compressed pituitary might manifest symptomatically: http://tinyurl.com/35xmcz A lot of things mirror complaints by various PWCs. With such a wide range of possible manifestations of empty sella syndrome I don't think it's helpful in diagnosis. But if you do have symptoms consistent with ICH and don't see how other, bizarre and seemingly unrelated symptoms could fit the picture then empty sella syndrome could provide some plausibility.
