(for whatever its worth, Lol) Sweden is near Estonia, isn't it? I worked with a girl from Estonia and she was just the best! Been there for a few years now. Funnily enough where I am working at the moment (in Chester - on holiday! visting family and friends) we've just has as Estonian girl start. Don't mind working here, just wish people would stop clicking pens and chewing gum whenever they are near me, have asked a few nicely not to, and it has worked (luckily!) but old habits die hard. Guest guest
Why can't we just figure out how to have a Virtual Conference? Isn't hthat possible? We could set up chat rooms for lectures and interactive sharing, have a full group gathering for a Full Conference, and post sites for comments, subjects of interest, etc. etc. maybe even use Skype somehow... I think this is entirely possible. Guest guest
If people have AIM, they can just make a giant temporary chat room. I've had conversations with up to ten people in them. = M-F. ----- Original Message ----- > Why can't we just figure out how to have a Virtual Conference? Isn't > hthat possible? Guest guest
Skype would be great except we would all have to agree to abstain from breathing, chewing, smacking or sniffling! ; ) Re: where in the world.... Guest guest
India! That must be the furthest from the U.S. yet! It's amazing that we can connect like this in almost real time with people so far away from each other! > > > > > > > > I grew up in New England, lived in Seattle for several years of > > grad > > > school and now find > > > > myself living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. > > > > > > > > I had a funny thought yesterday about us all getting together. Guest guest
Right now I live in so. cal. but if my husband and I have kids we are really looking to move close to my inlaws so we can have some help and support with the kid. they live in Covington, TN and I think we would live in midtown Memphis (from what I understand that is the most progressive and culturally diverse area in Memphis)(I wish they lived near Nashville, but no). Is that close to you? It would be so great and releaving to know that I would not be so isolated. Let me know if I'm even in your part of the state? > > > > I live in Nashville... How close are you?
