Guest guest
Marsha, etc.: If we're going to form a 501c3, we're going to need to assign tasks to people: 1) Thinking of a name for the organization 2) Filing the appropriate non-profit paperwork 3) Developing a .org for the organization 4) Creating a board of members not directly involved that will serve as " auditors " . After that, we would want to of course have a " business plan " of sorts for what we plan to do with the non profit: 1) Fundraising 2) Awareness etc. > No it is a great idea and needs to happen. > > I again want to add that I changed the name slightly some time ago to > SELECTIVE SOUND SENSITIVITY SYNDROME > > This was due to the fact so many said it was not only soft soounds. > > > Let's do it. > > Marsha > > > > !DSPAM:47c06573576021035632898! >
Guest guest
** Low Priority ** I don't know, the name change implies to me that we select the sounds we are sensitive to; please rethink your decision.
Guest guest
I have a problem with the word selective. It could be misinterpreted, by those who don't understand what we experience, as being willful. Sensitivity can also be treated as if it's easily changeable or a character weakness. Re: help for all over No it is a great idea and needs to happen.I again want to add that I changed the name slightly some time ago to SELECTIVE SOUND SENSITIVITY SYNDROMEThis was due to the fact so many said it was not only soft soounds.Let's do it.Marsha Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Wow, I didn't think of that. Perhaps the name should allow for the fact that these reactions are not easily controlled?
