Guest guest
Hi All; I was wondering if anyone can relate to this symptom I'm having... My eyes are not "focusing" properly, but I don't have blurry vision. Difficult to describe what is happening -- seems the eye muscles are not responding to where my brain is instructing them to move. When you were a child and purposely crossed your eyes, you could then uncross them - your eye muscles would respond appropriately and your eyes would return to normal position. My eyes are not doing this immediately when I look around... But when I ask my husband to look at my eyes when this is happening he can't see any slow/delayed or lazy eye type movements. This has been happening for quite some time but is really bad today. I'm not sure what to do, it is really distressing. I do not have a LLMD at the moment. Any input appreciated. Thanks, Kim
Guest guest
I would go to a real opthomologist who dialates your eyes and examines you with the slit lamp just to make sure. Bartonella or cat scratch disease, a coinfector of lymes can cause blindness. Can't hurt to get it all checked out. They have thimersol free dialating eye drops. Guest guest
I have had weird vision problems in the past. I would suffer from vertigo and simulaneously have a skip in my field of vision of my left eye at about the 10 o'clock position. So when I moved my eyes from right to left I actually felt a quick dropping sensation. I have borrelia, bartonella quintana, babesia microti, strep and EBV. I hear that bartonella causes eye problems. > > Hi All; > > I was wondering if anyone can relate to this symptom I'm having... > > My eyes are not " focusing " properly, but I don't have blurry vision. Guest guest
Hi, I relate very much to what you are saying. I agree you need to see an opthamologist to be evaluated. My family has problems with retinal detachment, so it's something we have to watch for, and sooner is better than later, as my brother found out, when he lost some vision due to a retinal tear. I experienced " floaters and flashers " , and my opthamologist told me if this ever happened again, it is an emergency and don't wait to call. If there's ever a feeling of a curtain closing over your vision, that is a vision emergency. Sometimes your vision will check out fine, as far as the doctor is concerned, but you still know something isn't right, and you need to look further. There are many things that can cause some of these difficulties including infections and toxicity (mercury)- thus, the " no eye-contact " situations. I've been having something similar for several years now. In my case, I experienced a fall that dislocated my jaw and messed with TMJ, balance, sensory input - whole bunches of stuff. The ENT doc had me screened for rare " sensorineural " tumors. One of my symptoms is that sometimes my eyes don't seem connected to my brain. My eyes don't look good from either side! I'm also mercury toxic, I believe from improper amalgam removal and a few other things. I've gotten much help from a NUCCA chiropractor. NUCCA is specialized upper cervical chiro. It is remarkable. The chiro brings things back to a point of balance, and my eyes and brain align up along with it. I also receive Craniosacral therapy work. It works wonders, can also help with vision issues as well as any other issue. It is near miraculous with autistic children and others. Sometimes it's as simple as pinched nerves or something similar going on. Color therapy - I'm now learning about healing with lights and colors. The cold lasers and LED are some of this, but there is more. Something interesting is that people with learning disorders and things like ADHD and emotional trauma have visual fields that are much smaller/narrower than " normal " people. By using color/light therapy, the visual field is opened up amazingly quickly, and many learning disorders as well as some eye disorders can be greatly improved. It seems to take only a few weeks time. I'm just reading about this. It is called Syntonics. It's another little healing secret not generally known. Best wishes. > > Hi All; > > I was wondering if anyone can relate to this symptom I'm having... > > My eyes are not " focusing " properly, but I don't have blurry vision.
