Guest guest
Dear Amber, If Nystatin gave him flu symptoms it also might have been that he wasn't tolerating it. After all, if Nyastatin was working, you wouldn't have to put him now on Diflucan. If his poop is less frequent/andor less mushy, and he sleeps better and behaves nicer, then any of these signs may tell you that Diflucan is indeed working. Best, Haleh --- lucadie <k.redekopp@...> wrote: > my son just finished 6 weeks of nystatin. when he started it, he got > sick like he had the flu for about 4 or 5 days. we were told that was > good because it showed that the nystatin was doing something for him. > when he started the diflucan about 4 days ago, there was no change in > him. does that mean that the diflucan is not working for him?? > Amber. > > > > > >
Guest guest
Until the yeast levels in your body come way down, you will react to the Diflucan, whether you are implanted or explanted. You really need to take a probiotic as well to help rebuild your good bacteria. Guest guest
, You might want to call Dr. Kolb's office and order CorValenM. She recommends it for fibro and energy. I'm just now noticing that it is helping my energy but it has GREATLY helped my fibro aches and pains. After I got back home I found out that my alternative medicine doctors know about it and even the Rheumatologist has it in his office. It's a powder you can mix with water, milk or juice and you drink it morning and at night. It would be easy to take with you on your vacation. Blessings, Penni Diflucan Hey Girls..for all of you that have taken after explant...does it make your joints ache as much as it did taking before explant ? I dread taking it again...it makes me feel 100% worse ALSO I have MVP what are you all talking about ..death ???? KAREN
Guest guest
, is this for yeast infection? Vaginal or body overgrowth? There are several natural cures for yeast infection...just type in Alternative Treatments for Yeast Infections and there's all types of treatment. Homeopathy works great...ofcourse, diet change is necessary. Garlic, Oil of Oregano...there's several. Talk to a Naturopth Doctor for advise, maybe. This is a nasty condition...I've suffered many years previously cuz of all the antibiotics I took prior to my reimplantation surgery of the ureters and an obstrution removed from the end of my left ureter, from birth. I had surgery on my 30th birthday - what a present that was. Too bad it took that long to diagnose the problem! Oh, well...not to look back. Hope this helps, Love & Healing, Sunny > > Hey Girls..for all of you that have taken after explant...does it make your > joints ache as much as it did taking before explant ? Guest guest
If you are asking where to get Diflucan, it is available only with a prescription. Kenda > Where do I get and how much do I take ?
Guest guest
, My doctor just put me on " Saccharomycin DF " which is a supplement. She said it too is yeast...but this yeast is O.K. ...and that it forces out the Candida yeast. Once the Candida is forced out...this yeast goes out too. But I think this is for digestion...don't know...maybe it does help with whole body too. I have had a problem with with that since explant...even with probiotics. My Lacidophil defense probiotic was helping much. So she gave me this. > > > > Hey Girls..for all of you that have taken after explant...does it > make your > > joints ache as much as it did taking before explant ? Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry you ache all over. It very well could be the yeast. I just don't know. I took diflucan for 2 weeks...about 2 weeks prior to my surgery and I didn't have that type of reaction. In fact, I didn't notice much difference. All of us are different...so that doesn't mean anything. I know september 7th sounds like it is so far away but it will be here before you know it. Have you had an ANA test...for inflammatory markers??? Your doctor could probably run one. Maybe your aches are not related to just yeast. Remember you were having a lot of pain before you took the diflucan. I am feeling good...but I still have an " internal soreness " in my breast. I think that is to be expected ..since it has only been 2 weeks. In hind site, this was a much bigger thing than I thought it would be. There is a lot of internal healing that has to go on. I am going to my primary care physician who is also an internist and holistically trained. I am also going to the follow up appointments with Dr. Schnarrs. I saw both last week and will see both again in another two weeks. By the way, all the test my nephrologist ran the day before my surgery, for lupus, vasulitis and underlying renal disease were all normal. So...at least I know I do not have anything wrong with my kidneys. > > ..I'm not sure why Dr Kolb told me to get what she did...my problem > wasn't digestion it's body aches, when I take the diflucan my body hurts > alot...real bad...man I don't know if I can make it till 9/7/06 but I have too. > Everything is set up for the...my job,my husbands,motels,surgery....hope I can > enjoy vacation next week...how are you feeling ? Guest guest
Margie, If you do a search on the web their is probably a chart about tender points. The doctor looks for those on your neck, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. Depending on your pain level some people take antinflamatories other's actual pain medicine. I have taken natural antinflamatories. Fibro sort of feels like you do when you have the real flu, that achy feeling in your muscles. I really like the CorValenM as I've talked about. It seems to be really helping my achyness. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Penni, Thanks for the info on CorValen M I have had Fibro almost ten years now,and like you have tried everything. After being on pain killers 9 years I gave them up. Gave up everything. I am having a rough patch as I went to a study doctor here in hawaii. I had to give up my muscle relaxers that I take at night to keep the muscle cramps down. I am still debating on the study medicine. But I like your suggestion better, Thanks, Terri P HawaiiPenni Pitre <penniquilts@...> wrote: Margie, If you do a search on the web their is probably a chart about tender points. Guest guest
Penni, Thanks for the help. I am just confused with my overlapping symptoms. I have looked up fibro info on the net and I think I have that too. Its very confusing because of the implant illness symptoms, mgus and fibro. Guest guest
Yesterday I started back on the diflucan. I could only get a one month supply, but will get a new prescription from my doctor before the month is up. I am combining the diflucan and the penicillin. I am also taking Recuperat-ion, ImmunoPro, reseratrol and Questran. I can't take but one scoop of Questran a day as it will block the absorbtion of the penicillin. We shall see. Dr. Teitelbaum spoke here in Las Vegas last night in his position of scientific advisor to the Fibro and Fatigue Centers - one is located here. I was pleased that he mentioned giving patients 6 weeks of Diflucan and stated that there were more liver problems from tylenol than Diflucan. He felt that yeast was a big issue and used Diflucan to treat that. I don't know if I have yeast problems. My purpose in using Diflucan is to treat borrelia based on Dr. Schardt's ideas. (Germany) I may post a brief summary of some of Teitelbaum's main points later today. We have company, so not a lot of time here. a
Guest guest
I am sure than many of you are aware that you can get diflucan from overseas, if you know where to go and how to do it. I got 100--200mg. capsules. Registered mail, $99.00. It has to be registered mail, so you have to go to the post office and get it. If you get less than $99.00 worth and don't do registered mail, you need a prescription. I had a prescription, but did not use it. Email me directly if you need the info. Guest guest
Dr. Huang just called again to check up on me, she is so great. She wanted to make sure I got the Diflucan, I said yes. I asked if if I needed more if I could call in for a refill. She said she gave me three and felt it should be sufficient. I really hate to bother her by requesting more, so I think I will take them at the end of my abx dose and then get the fungal defense and start that right after my third Diflucan. If I feel yeasty whatsoever, I may ask for one or two more. Guest guest
I take one 150 mg caplet daily for anywhere for a few days to three weeks, depending on the severity of the infection. Fluconazole is the generic and is much cheaper than Diflucan. Guest guest
HI We just finished a round of diflucan...and I have to say that you are more than likely experiencing die-off...Logan was very spacey, stimmy and somewhat tantrumy when on it - however, I have definitely seen much improvement...he is conversational, his eye contact is great, he is more engaging of others and generally less foggy. Keep it up if you can ... I think it was a good move for us. Good Luck. Carla diflucan My son who is nine years old (high functioning, PPDNOS) started Diflucan today. The dose is a tiny 50MG pill once a day. He was totally space out at school. I'm assuming it was die-off? When asked why he wouldn't do school work, he replied " because I don't have a brain. " After school, I gave him some activated charcoal, we struggled with homework, later I took him swimming. He then came out of his funk but acted " yeasty " (baby talk to himself, day dreaming out loud). A little later, those yeasty symptoms disappeared? Any way, I am writing because I want to get feedback on Diflucan. I hate to see him suffer in school with die-off. I was thinking of waiting for a school vacation to try the Diflucan again? Thanks!
