Guest guest
I can tell you 's signs, he starts to hork, he has his hand on his throat and then the eventual regurgitating of his food. has had this since a baby and was supposed to have an operation at the RF when he was only weeks old, so we know for a fact that this is reflux. It is an awful lot better now but not completely cured by any means. It's the most miserable condition and you would expect to see behaviours with it, raging, crying etc. Vicky
Guest guest
I've done a (very) little research into reflux and oesophagitis. I was supposed to mention it at the rather unsuccessful gastro visit the other week, but the entire visit was so stressful that I clean forgot. So instead we only talked about IBD, which I fear now was a real mistake. The only symptoms I know of are that are applicable to my son are that his stomach appears bloated and that he complains of his tummy hurting most days. I assume those symptoms are applicable to many more conditions than reflux / oesophagitis though. I know there are list members quite knowledgable about this issue, so please could anyone tell me whether those symptoms are relevant, and whether there is anything else that might give a clue. I noticed another post detailing flat and wide stools. This also appears to happen with Joe more recently. -- Simon Godden
Guest guest
My son has reflux oesophagitis, he gets bloated and this seems to make it worse, his gastro said problems with opening bowels would make the condition worse. He does not communicate and we can only tell from physical signs - he chokes a lot on his food and lots of coughing as well as discomfort at night which he shows by rubbing his chest up and down vigorously. Oh yes and he also sometimes has this grimace (sour look) on his face, presumably when there is a backflow of acid. He also tends to hold food in his mouth without chewing and swallowing it, I'm certain that this is to do with the inflammation in the throat and pains when he swallows. emily > > I've done a (very) little research into reflux and oesophagitis. > > I was supposed to mention it at the rather unsuccessful gastro visit > the other week, but the entire visit was so stressful that I clean > forgot.
