That I'm not alone is strangely comforting to me, though I do not want

anyone to have to endure this affliction as I have. If I had a magic

wand or if my prayers were strong enough, I would wipe 4S/Hyperacusis

off the face of the Earth so it could never hurt anyone ever again.

I apologize if I made anyone 'angry upset' hopefully you meant just 'sad

upset' which is what I think you meant. Reading your post to me and the

other posts to this group are comforting when I am struggling to cope

with my 4S and Hyperacusis. I appreciate the group's emails because they

help ground me back to realizing I'm not alone with having this

affliction. That I have a place to turn as long as I have an Internet

connection. I do give thanks for that!

What saddens me is that what I'm going through with having

4S/Hyperacusis as bad as it is, someone else out there in the world is

going through the exact same thing. I know how difficult it is for me

and that means it is as difficult for them too. That deeply makes me sad

and angry and frustrated and empathetic all at the same time.

It can be stressful and tiring going through emotions and feelings like

that. I have always had deep emotions and felt empathetic towards

others. It is who I am and it takes effort to not be so. If people in

the world had more empathy towards others, I doubt there would be as

much suffering as there is.

People like us who have 4S and Hyperacusis would be better appreciated

instead of being ridiculed and tortured by sounds. I can only pray and

hope. Our Yahoo! group is one step into a positive helpful direction.
