Guest guest
Amy a has an obsessive compulsive LYME, BABESIA diagnosis and really doesn't want to know her sinus status..EVEN THOUGH her problems SOUND LIKE SHE SUFFERS FROM AN EXTENSION OF SINUS DISEASE THAT'S MANIFESTING THROUGHOUT HER HEAD and NECK..A spiral CT scan with fine cuts may have been the best choice of scan and even this is never going to eventuate unfortunately. basically because all her other scans have proven useless and haven't provided any insights to pursuing some better options. > > paula, I also have huge sinus problems from no apparent cause or symptom > > my idea is we develop tolerance of these things and do not notice them. > > have you ever had root canal, crown or mercury fillings these can be > part of sinuses problems. > > > also food allergies/diet can be part of this. > > amy >
Guest guest
Didn't you have a dental problem in the last year, a? I hope your sinuses are fine, but Amy's right. I know plenty of people just like me who believed their sinuses were fine and now know differently. Having some tiny area in there blocked or filled up with pus/mucous could explain so many of your symptoms, including the vertigo, pain, eye problem, nerve issues, etc. penny > > paula, I also have huge sinus problems from no apparent cause or symptom > > my idea is we develop tolerance of these things and do not notice them. > > have you ever had root canal, crown or mercury fillings these can be > part of sinuses problems. > > > also food allergies/diet can be part of this. > > amy >
Guest guest
Amy and Penny, Yes, I had severe dental problems at the time of the onset of the vertigo and headache. The problem, as you both realize, is finding someone who can pursue the diagnoses with any sort of accuracy. It's not that I am not considering these aspects - I just can't find anyone who can follow through, diagnose and treat. In many ways we are all in the dark as far as diagnosis and treatment. (In 1995 when I did have severe sinus congestion the ENTs assured me my sinuses were fine. I cannot image anyone would now decide my sinuses were congested even though I KNOW I have the staph colonization and that my sinuses were cut by the scope 14 months ago when I had my vocal cords examined.) Today I will be seeing the radiologist who will compare my two MRIs. This might at least indicate if I have empty sella, or if the bright spots have increased or decreased. I plan to see what the radiologist says before mentioning any of my hunches. We shall see, or maybe not. a > > Didn't you have a dental problem in the last year, a? > > I hope your sinuses are fine, but Amy's right.
