Dear Dan

Our local water supply is fluoridated to 1 ppm with fluorosilicic acid or similar ( the worst possible source of fluoride). I avoid it by drinking bottled water with zero fluoride ( only 1 brands here guarantee fluoride free). I've given up drinking tea (up to 30 ppm fluoride or so) and make my coffee with fluoride free water. Fluoride is also absorbed readily through the skin but I've so far not been able to avoid bathing or showering :-).

I've noticed a marked reduction in joint and muscle pain and far better thermal equilibration so far ( 3 weeks). I've actually cut back on pain meds significantly. My symptoms of intracranial hypertension have abated somewhat, less pain, less visual disturbance, but the double vision and tinnitus are still with me.

I need to get a baseline study of fluoride clearance and iodine levels done but I've lost faith in my duc so will probably bumble along on my own for a bit longer.

I have a couple of x-ray films taken 5 years apart which may show skeletal fluorosis but I'm damned if I will waste the money on having them read til I find a competent duc.

Regards

[infections] thyroid med keeping me wide awake> > > > Since my last TSH was 150! (and my doc freaked out,) I started taking my thyroid meds again. The reason I had slacked off is because they always give me hyper symptoms no matter how small the dose. So I've been on a mere 30mg of armour for 3 days and sure enough last night woke up at 12:30 a.m. and was up until 4:30 a.m. What to do? I'm going to be more tired from a lack of sleep than a lack of thyroid hormone. The heart palps and hoarseness haven't even started yet, but that's next. The synthetic hormones are even worse than the natural Armour.> > So anybody got any good suggestions on how to get to sleep without side effects? Melatonin didn't work, unfortunately, and I really don't want to take anything too intense or will stress my liver or become addictive, etc.> > Anyone use Valerian or any other natural kind of sleep remedies?> > penny>

Dear Dan

Plastic bottles are a two edged sword, I just hope the pthallates are less immediately toxic than the fluoride. LOL. ( Have a look at Theo Colborn's stuff) As I'm in Australia, the brands are probably irrelevant, however I suspect that both are reverse osmosis products. The distilled water appears to have disappeared from the supermarket shelves. I will attempt to set up my own still, I suspect that this will be a passable long-term solution.

Thanks for your reply -- I'm curious, what is the brand of water that is flouride-free? And I'm assuming it's sold in bottles that don't leach plastic chemicals? ! :)>> Dear Dan> Our local water supply is fluoridated to 1 ppm with fluorosilicic acid or similar ( the worst possible source of fluoride).
