Special Edition on Combat Sport II

Dear Colleagues,

Following the success of the special edition of the Journal of Sports

Science and Medicine (http://www.jssm.org/combat.php), I am putting together

a second edition on combat sport. The JSSM has recently obtained an impact

factor and is an internet journal. I like this format as it means that work

can be accessible to academics and non-academics and made freely available

for students.

The special edition on combat sport aims to include a mix of theory and

application. Possible articles include review papers, original research and

case studies. The manuscripts for Combat Sports Special Edition will follow

a normal peer-review process. All the manuscripts submitted to the JSSM must

be prepared according to the JSSM Guidelines for Authors

Special Edition Time Frame

July - December 1st 2006: call for papers. No paper submitted after December

1st will be considered for this edition.

April 2007: Review process closes for this edition. This allows one month

for the review process, one month for authors to make revisions, one month

to review these change and one month for authors to make subsequent changes.

Any paper that requires a third review will not be considered for this

edition of the JSSM.

May 2007: Proofs received and returned.

Publication: July-August 2007.

I look forward to receiving your papers,

Prof. Andy Lane
