Guest guest
This should make us feel warm and fuzzy. We've now got a whole generation of kids starting their lives right out of the gate with resistant bacteria (UTIs), not to mention resistant ear & skin infections). :-( Unfortunately, in article after article, all abx are lumped together and generalizations made, all of which seem designed to discourage treatment in general, rather than encourage finding the correct treatment or addressing the bacteria's resistance. I only read one article in which an expert was quoted as saying 'this study serves to make us more aware of the increasing problem of bacterial resistance.' Everybody else just says antibiotics are bad without even thinking twice that maybe they're using the wrong ones or don't understand what they're actually dealing with before starting treatment.
