Guest guest
We must be psychic friends! I used to see an ayurvedic doc about 12-14 years ago, before I really came down with the official diagnosis. He was great, and I had almost the same experience...his herbs cleared up my gut infection (after a trip to Mexico)...within 4-5 days. Now it could be possible that they didn't catch or destroy everything, but I don't blame him. I couldn't afford to keep going back. In hindsight, the ten panchakarma treatments (herbs, diet, cleansing, massages plus dry heat high-temp saunas to raise one's body temp and burn off the bugs/toxins) that would've totaled $1200 are a bargain considering the $30,000 I've probably spent in the last 9-10 years? Guest guest
This guy was a regular MD. He gave me one herb I think, but he also gave me decongestants and antibiotics. The thing that impressed me the most was his diagnostic skills. He came to the hotel where I was complaining of severe headache/sinus infection that had developed after I caught a cold on the plane over. He poked and pressed around and told me I had a stomach bacteria based on what he could feel by pressing on my stomach. I thought he was wrong but went ahead and accepted his drugs anyway because I felt the decongestant would help. By that evening I was throwing up violently, felt like my stomach and throat were on fire or being burned by acid. Really horrible. But I took his pills and by the next day both my stomach and my head were fine. I was amazed that he could diagnose me so accurately with nothing but his eyes, hands and a stethoscope. People gave me all kinds of herbs while I was there. They have ayurvedic stores everywhere, obviously. But nothing cured me until I saw this doc. The only exception was dried/candied ginger for my cough. I couldn't believe how quickly that could stop a coughing fit. I'd really like to find some of it here to keep on hand. Works faster and better than cough lozenges. penny kdrbrill <kdrbrill@...> wrote: We must be psychic friends!
