Guest guest
That's odd. I would think the bruising would happen if your blood is too thin -- BUT perhaps this kind of backs up the " hypercoagulation " theory that suggests that even if one bleeds easily, one can still have a hypercoagulation (sticky-thicky blood). According to the Hemex guy (and Ken Lassesen might be able to shed some light on this), if the blood is too thick -- then it can't get into the microcirculation -- so those tiny blood vessels become weak and damaged, hence the easy bleeding. ??? Guest guest
I don't know. I do know that this particular bruise was caused by the vein "blowing" after filling a partial vial. The blood draw was extremely slow and she had to keep pressing on my vein (once she found one) and we used gravity to get the vials to fill. It took a long time to get 2 vials and the lab tech shook one vial quite a few times and said, "wow, this blood is really thick". I'm sure it's due to hypercoagulation caused by my ongoing infection compounded by the continuous die-off I experience from the antimicrobials. I'm thinking I'm going to just get my local doc to run the tests Gleuck would normally run for hypercoagulation. See how much is a result of my illness, and how much, if any, is due to genetics. I'm getting worried that all of these factors are making me more and more susceptible to a stroke or cardiac event, so need to get myself going with some treatment plans. If I do have some kind of proven genetic predisposition, it's easier to justify blood thinners, which I'm pretty sure I'm going to need, especially if/when I have surgery. And sticky blood makes it extremely difficult to get any drugs to the focal infections which hide in low blood flow areas to begin with, so any serious therapy for us most likely needs to be combined with blood thinners of some sort, whether it's prescription, otc like ibuprofen (which I can't take), or some natural substance. I'm finally feeling better after my last horrendous migraine. It takes at least a couple of days to recover from a really bad one. I did some more reading on coconut oil and applied it directly to the inside of my nostrils and around my gums and I must say my head pressure started feeling substantially better after that. I also did some extended out breathing, which I've always felt, based on past experience with breathing techniques, may be beneficial to sinus infections and health in general. Eby seems to think so too, suggesting that strong, low humming may increase NO enough to kill infections so that reminded me to give it a go. After I did the humming, my nose started running. That's always a good sign as it means the mucous is thinner and moving, not just gluing itself to my sinus walls and rotting in there. :-( penny kdrbrill <kdrbrill@...> wrote: That's odd. Guest guest
It's kind of a shame that so much gets redirected over at the experimental site, but I understand Ken's frustration too. People get so tracked on various topics that everything else gets pushed aside. Like how the site was dominated by glutathione for months, which I'm sure played no small part in getting so many people on the band wagon (I've seen all the hype too many times before, that's why I'm waiting for the hooplah and jubilant claims to die down before hoping to have any kind of reasonable dialogue on that protocol's potential worthiness). Unfortunately, because of an attempt to avoid that kind of dominance, other topics now get pushed aside as well. But it means one of the largest forums for getting info out sometimes shuts its doors on potentially very helpful discussions that could educate a lot of people, simply because they don't fall strictly under the "experimental" label. I really don't go over there much any more. It's hardly experimental. Basically it seems to cover the same ground over and over again, talking about supplements and recycling old alternative treatments. I'm so over most of that stuff, I need to see something compelling or interesting enough (other than hope and wishful thinking) to impress me into any kind of experimental action these days. Plus, there's usually a risk associated with truly experimental stuff that seems powerful enough to actually do anything. I.E. Benicar, biophosphonates, phages, gallium :-) While sometimes the effects can be quite powerful, they have the potential for being quite negative as well. I've seen both things happen with quite a few of these experimental treatments. So I usually take a wait & see approach these days (unless something grabs my attention in a big way for whatever personal reasons I might have). penny dumbaussie2000 <dumbaussie2000@...> wrote: Dan keep ken's name out of things- because he might delete stuff....> > > > Just wondering if you've had a chance to try it yet... ?> > > > > > > > d.> > > > > > > > p.s.
