Guest guest
Barb, I can't agree with you on the cult issue. I have some knowledge of history and the way that the world works, and I know what true cults are and do. Manson had a cult. Jim had a cult. They do some of the absolute worst things people ever do to other people. Of course any large group will attract some people who are followers, but a blanket indictment of all people in a group that is not a cult is just wrong. I don't like to argue, and most people think I'm the most laid-back person they know. The problem is that I am greatly bothered when I see patients being treated badly. I sacrificed a lot in early CFS advocacy to try to improve things for patients being treated badly. Calling patients cult members is treating them badly. BTW, my family and friends think it is incredible that anyone would think I'm in a cult. I am the last person they consider susceptible. Guest guest
Control, censorship, denial, rationalization, and ignoring others' concerns are all criteria for cults, Roy. Whether something is actually a cult or not is arguable, but if you're truly as concerned about pwc as you claim to be, I'd think you'd contemplate whether these attributes are present. If you seriously can't see any legitimacy whatsoever to so many other people's concerns, then that's cause for concern right there, IMO. penny royx31 <roysno@...> wrote: Barb,I can't agree with you on the cult issue.
