Guest guest
Hi All, Thank you so much for all your advice. I stopped the Monolaurin on Saturday (4 days ago). Yesterday, he woke up with flu symptoms (cough, mild fever - 99, stuffy nose). He keeps signing " hurt (he is non verbal) but cannot point to where the pain is. He looks really sick (droopy eyes, fatigue, ...). I am not sure if I should restart Monolaurin at a much lower dose (1/2 cap a day instead of 4). Thanks, Nadia
Guest guest
Hi Nadia, Please report this to your son's LLMD and stop the monolaurin until you hear back from him. I would take at least 2 weeks off, maybe even 6 or 10 (this would be out of phase from the 4 week herx cycle). As stated in my past post, monolaurin really kicked my butt. I've been treating for lyme for over 3 years. I never had as much pain as I have had when going on monolaurin. My son will probably never get on it since my wife has seen what it had done to me. As it is, I had to secretly start on it again after the first and second time I tried to ramp up. As a side note, don't mention that you are on the internet and talking about such things regarding your son's LLMD's care to your LLMD. I think he is paranoid about it (and I would be too since LLMDs are being attacked from all angles). About 3 years ago, I mentioned that I met a patient of his online and my wife noticed a very unfavorable reaction from him. Anyhow, not mentioning the internet would help stay on his good side. Take care, Rich (skiweasel7) > > Hi All, > > Thank you so much for all your advice. I stopped the Monolaurin on > Saturday (4 days ago).
