Guest guest
I am also interested as to why they think that Borellia doesn't occur in Australia, there is evidence for 2 or more species, aff burgdorferi and garinnii. Guest guest
, , I am quite sure that the whole world is crawling with unidentified borrelia that are causing variations of LD but no country want an extra public health problem to have to deal with, so if it is not TOO visible, let's look the other way. Guest guest
Nelly I can quite understand that the Australian authorities are not much interested in accepting the fact that thre are Borelliae in Australia having seen some of the politicking that went on which resulted in the researcher working in the area being stripped of fundng, but it is another thing entirely for a Brazillian researcher to deny the occurrence (although thereseems to bebeen very little published) http://medent.usyd.edu.au/fact/lyme%20disease.htm The next one seems interesting, includes The cradle of Lyme borreliosisKlaus Weber, MD and Willy Burgdorfer, PhD, MD (hon).
