Guest guest
Has anyone looked into sensory integration dysfunction, the improper processing by the nervous system of sensory input? It's treated by occupational therapists certified in sensory processing disorder (this is the newest term for it). Improperly absorbed/interpreted information taken in through the senses often causes " off " behavioral responses, learning problems, motor skills delays, and attention issues. I'm taking my daughter for a SI evaluation starting next week because she has a number of sensory processing issues. I know that auditory processing is one area they'll look at, but I have no idea if SSSS is something they've ever run across. She has some SSSS stuff, but mine is worse!
