Guest guest
We've recently passed two big milestones with - firstly he is now eating solid foods and down to two or less bottles of infant formula a day. I'm so excited about this, his eating aversion was one of the biggest hurdles to overcome when we started biomed two and a half years ago. He has a bottle sometimes in the morning and sometimes at night but otherwise he is eating like any other kid, still picky but he feels his hunger and eats when he is hungry. He hasn't done this since the day he was born and it's a big deal! I watched him yesterday eat a whole sandwich in absolute amazement. It's a bloody miracle and nothing less! Secondly, he's started telling us when something has upset him. On Saturday we went to the park and a dog was barking viciously at (the dog was a teeny tiny thing, lol) but it scared , he ran up to me and hugged me and said, "That dog really scared me!" He's also told me things like, "That's a scary noise." etc. The fact that a)he knows what he's feeling and communicating it to another person is such a big freaking deal for a kid like him. It's a big milestone and we are so excited for him. He's had a bumpy start to reception but mostly he's doing fine. He's quite anxious so we are kicking up some of the supplements and I think I let him get a bit constipated. (grrrrr, I hate it when I do that). Have been wondering how everyone else starting school has gone? I know there were a few starting reception full-time and a few making the big shift to secondary. Hope it's all going well.
