Guest guest
s paed added ADHD to his dx because a restless phase coincided with his appointment, so that seemed to be enough for him to get an extra dx! She also offered Ritalin and antipsychotics. Cut a long story short he is absolutely not ADHD and has always responded positively to me going back to the drawing board with his food and supplements, I know absolutely tons of parents who have their children medicated and even more who are routinely offered meds. Guest guest
It sounds as if you felt defensive. She was asking a very leading question. It might have been a good idea to ask one back " Do you think I should consider it? Why? Are you advising me to medicate? Why? " etc so that you feel in control. Ritalin is cheap and of unknown safety when used long-term by children. If you think the suggestion may crop up again I would prepare your position thoroughly. I would concentrate on using her to get direct payments. More expensive but better for him than Ritalin xx Sally lindseym71 wrote: > > anyway writing as had an app with margo sharp at parkview clinic today > and it really disturbed me. Guest guest
My opinion is that Dr's etc are prescription pushers, they really don't know what to do with our children. I know that they ask lots of parents if they want medicating because I am on a Kent Autistic Trust group, a lot of parents post on there informing us that they ahve been advised to medicate. It's the same in the USA. Lara x > > anyway writing as had an app with margo sharp at parkview clinic today > and it really disturbed me.
