Guest guest
I've been making the activated water for my husband without the back bottle attached (because of the plastic off gassing issue) and I don't believe it's necessary to have it attached. The back bottle is to humidify the activated air, but then the air is going straight under water anyway, in your jar. Funny that the discount has been extended till the end of the year. That would have worked better with my time frame - oh well. I finally got done with all of the tests I wanted to have run on each of us before starting. Except for adrenal stress of self and husband, but we'll do that next weekend. I don't think a week of valkion usage will make that much difference. My son had his first session with the valkion this morning, with a prototype glass humidifier bottle and off-gasses canula. It needs a bit of work still, but it's obviously working because I could see vapor coming out of the canula prongs. Had him on it for only 6 minutes, then about 15 minutes afterwards he got seriously hyper/squirmy/ADD-ish. His focus is usually better than an NT kid, so this was out of character for him. FYI, to put it in perspective - at the time of his ASD dx he was not a typical mito kid with low ATP, low muscle tone and poor endurance. His tests showed high ATP, had super strength and freaky high endurance -like running for miles without stopping (or even looking back for me trying to catch up!). Still a mito disorder, but not quite the same as the usual ASD profile. With biomed treatment, his energy levels have stabilized within the range of normal - a little on the mellow side of average without external sensory stimulation. When he gets hyper or squirmy within a calm home environment now, I know something is going on. He's been a bit " off " with a regression the past few weeks. Nothing major, but something is happening with his immune system. Runny nose for 4+ weeks, but no other cold symptoms beyond low appetite. Perhaps a bit of yeasty behavior. Slightly less interactive with shorter conversations. His speech inflection has flattened out a bit and his pronunciation has become a bit slushy. He hasn't been too motivated with independent self-care tasks (putting on shoes, brushing teeth, helping out with food prep etc). This morning I didn't give him supps with breakfast. Decided to wait till lunch, since he's home this week (got to love school vacation for biomed experiments!). Six minutes of activated air mid morning caused about an hour of ADD/squirmy/hyper/annoying behavior. Then..... He said he was hungry for the first time in weeks! Self-motivated to GET food and try to prepare it by himself Got appropriate winter clothes out and dressed (with boots too!) in under a minute with zero input from me! And now he's playing solo in the back yard with a rope and some boxes, without asking me to come out and help him with something every 5 seconds! Almost back to where he was before the regression. I'm listening to him talk to himself and his pronunciation seems back to normal too. Sorry for the long winded way of saying " I Believe it is Working! " but I'm just so thrilled to have the time to sit down by myself and type for 10 minutes without interruption........ ;-) Not bad result for the first time. If he can't get past the hyper stage, it's going to be tough to fit in an hour of sensory OT every night though. It will have to be just a weekend thing once school starts back up. > > Hi Kim, > > I've been putting water in the back water bottle and then making the water.?? Our stone floats to the top a bit too but I push it down.? I watched it while it was activating and it looks like all of the water is being activated even if it does float up.?? Guest guest
I have been wondering if anyone is brave enough to try a Valkion Bath? ie sit in bathub with tubing piping in the oxygen? It is my understanding with activated oxygen, ie ozone saunas not to let temp get above 100 degrees or the oxygen/ozone is rendered ineffective. > >> > > >> > Hi Kim, > >> > > >> > I've been putting water in the back water bottle and then making the > > water.??
