Guest guest
Darci, Sorry to hear that your child began to have seizure type behaviors during the holidays. I do not have much knowledge and experience with seizure. Hope others in the group can chime in soon. The information below explains how antibiotics lower the seizure threshold and make it easilier to occur: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_antibiotics_cause_a_grand_mal_seizure It is quite likely when seizure occurs, the levels of sodium, potassium, chloride, phosphate in the body are low. These are electrolyte ions. Seizure activities are essentially electrolyte disorder. I suggest that you get several different numbers of Cell Salts handy as well as Electroyte Enhanced Matrix Formula from Biopure. Ingvar's level of sodium is really low, because of our use of FIR sauna and Phospholipids Exchange (NaEDTA). I was afraid that he might develop seizure, if the level of sodium keeps dropping. I give him 2 tablets of #9 Cell Salt (sodium chloride) 3 times a day. Mix one tablespoon of Electrolyte Formula in one littre of his drinking water, and let him drink through the day. I hope this suggestion can be of some help to your child. Limin From: Darci Sent: Thursday, November 27, 2008 17:51 To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: I need help! Hi all, sorry to send this out on Thanksgiving but I need some help asap. One of my twin boys is on antibiotics for lyme- been on 1 1/2 months. He has begun having seizure type behavior, multiple times during the day- sometimes lasting for 2 hours. He gets out of control hyper, babble talk etc. I'm losing it here- don't know what this is. I'm stopping the antibiotics tonight- this shouldn't be happening- it's not a herx- something that is out of control like I should call the hospital for help. I can't do this for fear they will call a psychiatric ward or something! has anyone ever heard of this??? I'm giving him benedryl to help calm him. ALA Hello; we have been using NCD for over 6mns now, and we are about to introduce ALA. Honestly, I'm not comfortable to use DMSA. The last time we used TD-DMPS with ALA, was 3 years ago, and I don't want to go down that route again. Can anyone suggest a natural chelating agent to replace DMSA. I know ALA is not strong enough to pull free radicals from the blood stream. Any advice would be much appreciated. TIA, S. Now with a new friend-happy design! Try the new Yahoo! Guest guest
When my son has a seizure I give him homeopathic Pulsatilla 30C. Its the acute for measles, mumps, rubella and possibly scarlet fever. I primarily blame the measles virus for my son's seizures (among other things such as toxic load and other pathogens). See if the Pulsatilla helps. If you see the measles dotted rash after that on his body it would confirm it. I hate the bloomin' MMR shot! Keep doing the cell salts as suggested by Limin. I at my end also up the taurine, the magnesium and the B-6. Gayatri > > MessageDarci, > > Sorry to hear that your child began to have seizure type behaviors during the holidays. Guest guest
I am glad your son is doing better.
