Guest guest
I had read somewhere...I'll try and find it...that silver kills almost everything -- including the good bugs, good bacteria. I believe even some manufacturers admit this, and tell customers to take plenty of high-dose probiotics away from the silver... I'll try and find the link however... d. --- In infections , " a Carnes " <pj7@...> wrote: > > > SILVER KILLS VIRUSES, STUDY FINDS > > > Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com > > In a groundbreaking study, the Journal of Nanotechnology has published a > study that found silver nanoparticles kills HIV-1 and is likely to kill > virtually any other virus. Guest guest
What I think Tony is actually referring to here is that our good bacteria are already severely compromised, so it's kind of silly to worry much about them. They've already been dominated and altered by the bad bugs to the point where they aren't doing a whole lot for us anyway. Certainly they are not capable of doing as much as antibiotics do to keep the bad bugs in check. I've read studies that show that introducing "good" flora isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be either, because the bad bugs can dominate the good bugs and gene swap to increase their own resistance. They end up using the good bugs to their own advantage, becoming even stronger while compromising the the future effectiveness of the good bugs in the process. If you've got a chronic bacterial infection and have had any experience with pro-biotics, you know that you have to change them up pretty frequently, as they seem to lose their effectiveness as the bad bugs convert them to the dark side. So, until we're on the road to eradication of the majority of our bad bugs, worrying about "protecting" our good bugs is probably not as big of a deal for many people as they think. What's more important is to find the correct antimicrobials, to get rid of the bad bugs, giving your good bugs any chance whatsoever to reestablish themselves. Of course, I don't believe this scenario applies to every single person in the same exact way because different people react differently, have different gut situations, etc. I just know from personal experience (and that of friends in the same boat) that I do a lot better ON abx than off. Last time I stopped all abx (this was several years ago after months of i.v. abx) I had a huge overgrowth of fungus. I developed a black tongue and my gut went crazy for a day (in the form of gas). Isn't it kind of funny that stopping the abx, which is killing bacteria, would result in a fungal overgrowth, not a bacterial one? This indicates that somehow the antibiotics are also working to control the fungi. I'm not sure how it all works, obviously, but I do know that killing the right bugs is important to mainatain any kind of working gut balance. This is why it's frustrating to me that so many people are using the wrong, or ineffective abx, which only results in strengthening their bad bugs, not controlling them. penny kdrbrill <kdrbrill@...> wrote: I do too !There's also the issue of abx resistance of course. Guest guest
I remember reading a few years ago about how people who used more antibacterial soaps and cleaners were found to get sick more often...??? Which of course illustrates my previous point precisely. Use mild antimicrobials against really strong bugs, and you're only going to make the bad bugs stronger as they convert the anti-microbials to their own purposes. We need to use as many weapons as we can against the bad bugs, but we have to be sure that we're not feeding them with our good intentions. pennykdrbrill <kdrbrill@...> wrote: I do too !There's also the issue of abx resistance of course. Guest guest
These antimicrobial agents are GROWTH PROMOTERS in a culture plate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When you get tough bugs and you pump in the antibiotics you get a bigger infection. An egs take a course of amoxacillin and you'll find the so called fungal itch is an OVERGROWTH of pseudonomas- which only got that way through it's low level contact stimulation from the amoxacillin.. If you have pneumonia and they PUMP in the drugs IV, you don't get these low level stimulations. > > > > > > > > > > > > SILVER KILLS VIRUSES, STUDY FINDS > > > > > > > > > > > > Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com > > > > > > > > In a groundbreaking study, the Journal of Nanotechnology has > > published a > > > > study that found silver nanoparticles kills HIV-1 and is likely > > to kill > > > > virtually any other virus. Guest guest
Penny bacteria may use any cells to possably turn into themselves..I've noticed bacteria in the same location can one day be staph then the second day candida and then the third day pseudonomas- where the other cells go is beyond my understanding but I feel they are all THE SAME CELLS... so your sinus bugs can morph into what the surrounding environment dishes up, or chemically induced into other things.. tony > > > > > > > > > > > > SILVER KILLS VIRUSES, STUDY FINDS > > > > > > > > > > > > Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com > > > > > > > > In a groundbreaking study, the Journal of Nanotechnology has > > published a > > > > study that found silver nanoparticles kills HIV-1 and is likely > > to kill > > > > virtually any other virus. Guest guest
That proves my point. Trying to get rid of all the bacteria may not be the answer. Being " too clean " , " too sterile " , etc., may do more harm than good. One never sees a cat or dog -- or any animal with strong healthy teeth using a toothbrush. Many folks brush their teeth once a day, but use probiotic powders and/or eat cultured cabbage, etc., to improve their oral health. d. > > Dan > Think of it like this, everyone tries to brush there teeth three > times a day to stop the bacteria from destroying there teeth? Why are > these so called good bacteria attacked on a three times a day basis > (brushing) to stop there destructive ways, yet you get a group of > numb nuts preaching how important it is to keep the supposed good > guys? When you keep things supposedly clean, and supposedly bacteria > free, your using selective pressure which makes genetically modified > bacteria, which also no longer act the same way- hence allergies and > the like. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SILVER KILLS VIRUSES, STUDY FINDS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com > > > > > > > > > > In a groundbreaking study, the Journal of Nanotechnology has > > > published a > > > > > study that found silver nanoparticles kills HIV-1 and is > likely > > > to kill > > > > > virtually any other virus. Guest guest
Dan, if it were possible to get rid of all the bacteria, this list would be about surfing or traveling or something. :-) Our problem is the bugs that are making us sick have too much control over all the other bugs. My experience has been that the more I knock those down, the better I feel. Guest guest
Yes, I think that abx kill some of the fungi as well. In the situation I described when I stopped abx, the good bugs still managed to come right back as the black tongue and fungal overgrowth died down within a couple of days. I've taken all kinds of probiotics and no way can they handle my infection. I usually hade to switch them up pretty frequently too. I've found that just eating yogurt regularly has been more beneficial than all the expensive probiotics I've purchased. Which reminds me, did you see the recent study that showed just that? That a small amount of yogurt contains a far higher count of beneficial bacteria than the reportedly best probiotics? penny kdrbrill <kdrbrill@...> wrote: > > > >> > > > > > > > SILVER KILLS VIRUSES, STUDY FINDS > > > > > > > > > > > > Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com> > > > > > > > In a groundbreaking study, the Journal of Nanotechnology has > > published a> > > > study that found silver nanoparticles kills HIV-1 and is likely > > to kill> > > > virtually any other virus. Guest guest
Dan Your somewhat missing the point..We are trying to explain how silly it sounds that people preach that your wipping out your GOOD BACTERIA..There is no case to believe that you need bacteria- sterile animals experimented on for organ transplants and the like don't have any problems-ENZYMES required to do many jobs are already there, and this is possably the angle of approach one should adopt to make the environment NEGATIVE for bacterial growths(good bacteria supposedly make good enzymes)..Another angle with enzymes is that they dissolve blood clots and make the blood more effecint- this is according to some latest news report on what happens after a stroke... So to hang your hat on good bacteria, and holding on to it, is a battle never won and MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR NOT FOCUSED ON ATTACKING THE PROBLEM CAUSING THE GRIEF...Dan if you could clear your pseudnomas instaed of teasing it you'd travel alot better I'm sure.. The only stuff up can come from your body being battered for many years and a huge amount of scar tissue has formed, which makes going forward even harder IMO. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SILVER KILLS VIRUSES, STUDY FINDS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - FreeMarketNews.com > > > > > > > > > > In a groundbreaking study, the Journal of Nanotechnology has > > > published a > > > > > study that found silver nanoparticles kills HIV-1 and is likely > > > to kill > > > > > virtually any other virus.
