I'm sorry I had to delete the original message because of the doctors name being in the subject line. But I will address the question for .

Dr. B from NY is a very well known DAN doctor and Lyme specialist. He is treating children on the spectrum with lyme, viruses, etc. right now. I'm pretty sure that he is using primarily antibiotics for the lyme kids. I think we have a few moms on this board that go to him. I can say that he does NOT believe that lyme has anything to do with autism other than it just "happens" to be there in some kids. He is not a supporter of LIAF. I make this point because there are a few doctors who have made a point to discredit us in the DAN community and discourage the majority of DAN doctors from even TESTING our kids for these infections.

In my opinion, I would prefer Dr. W out of Vermont if I lived on the East Coast and wanted an LLMD for my child. I have heard that Dr. W may be getting pretty busy and not booking appt's until January. But it's worth a try.

I also want the group to know that I don't have ALL doctors on the website that are treating our kids. This is because of the volatility and controversy in the Lyme disease and Infectious Disease communities. We want to spare any doctors from frivolous law suits and witch hunts from the medical boards. The doctors who are listed on the site are listed because they have requested to and understand the risks.

So it's important to ask questions of this group and other support groups in the Lyme world to find a doctor.

Take care,

Tami Duncan
