Heidi, What does the tumeric do? Thank you. Robin

Robin:

I can not say enough good about Turmeric. It is what curcumin is made

from. It is an anti-inflammatory and inhibits pathogens. I can't

remember which ones, but mostly bacteria. I remember reading it boosts

immunity, but I can't find that study any more. You will find lots of

information on it protecting nerve cells, especially from lead. I have

to say that I love it to pieces. It, in itself, took away some of my

kids autism symptoms. It also supports digestion and liver function.

You got to love this stuff. I have taken it with many other herbs and

have not had any interractions, but you should still investigate this

for yourself in pertaining to whatever your protocol is.

I hear its best to take with a fat like cod liver oil and digestive

enzymes for good absorption. But, to me, even if it doesn't get

absorbed, it can do wonders in the intestines to treat bad bacteria

there. I have to say I love it, and it makes a big difference in my

family. I have used different brands, and they do work differently, so

choose a good brand or rather just avoid the very cheap stuff. Brands

I like are Paradise Herbs and Rexall. Since Turmeric is widely used,

you can find all kinds of curcumin brands of extra strength, etc. I

use Turmeric since its more basic than curcumin, and I like to use the

most primitive form of things. But, if I did not see significant

results from the Turmeric, I would have tried one of those fancy

curcumin brands.

My favorite thing about Turmeric for myself, is that it takes away

symptoms of neurapathpy in my arms. With Turmeric, I can type for

hours; without it, I can only type slow and for 30 minutes. I take

3,000mg Turmeric a day. I seem to need that much because on lower

doses, I don't get the better results. I did also herx when I started

taking it. I started with just 500mg and had to work my way up. But,

the herxing wasn't bad, and no one else in my family herxed.

Love and prayers,

Heidi N

Let me add that I at first wanted to do things in some sort of order -

- what people were saying was recommended, but it didn't work for

me. I find that just attacking the toxin and pathogen load in

general is the way to go. I, too, am now using various anti-

pathogens, rotating them out about every two months. I think we need

to assume our kids have all types of pathogens and its best to just

treat all of them. I started making faster progress when I added

pathogen killers that kill a broad range of things versus herbs that

just target some things. Smilax reduced my son's Bartonella rash

more than any other thing we tried. I can't beleive it. But, the

other things worked as well, but they stopped working in a steady

progress after about 6 weeks, but the Smilax continued to work

longer.

Thus, I am feeling that the pathogen-load in general needs to come

down, and you may not get any head-way in treating lyme or Bartonella

unless the other pathogens, (who even knows what all they are) are

treated as well. I think we may even have pathogens that no one even

has names for yet. Heck, I keep seeing in the news about all these

newly discovered species and such. Thus, it would definitley seem we

have pathogens yet to be discovered. Did you do the waking up in the

middle of the night for the DMSA/ALA? I just can't do that, I have

too many kids.

Love and prayers,

recover, using digestive enzymes, a strong yeast protocol of rotated

uva ursi, mct oil, and gse each one given 3x a day but only for 2

months then rotated to the next one, oreganol, dosed in the middle of

the night, candex or candidaise, 50 billion custom probiotics 3x a

day, a non toxic house, chelation for metals, antivirals,

antibacterials, cod liver oil, phosphadayltcholine, zinc loading,

grapeseed extract, 10,000mg vit C a day for 8 months, lycine,

minerals like cal & mag, vit e, molybdenum, selenium, taurine.

chlorophyll, chelation with dmsa/ala, liver support with milk

thistle. It only took 8 months. Not years. One of the keys was

attacking everything at once so the pathogens/yeast/metals had no

where to go but out.

Hey ;

I like your aggressive approach to treating everything at once. I think I need to be a little more aggressive but I'm terrified my kids will crash. How did you handle die-off with all those treatments going on? How did you ensure the organ systems were supported?

I am just starting AC chelation with DMSA for my girls (revisiting - tried TD a couple years ago). We just started the first round this week and after the first day my youngest was throwing up and facial rash became more promenent. Did you just work through this kind of reaction?

Thanks,

Kim
