Hi there,I can not stand the feel of suede and various "dry" fabrics. I hate tags on my clothing. I hate any kind of restricting clothing (gosh I wish bras were more comfortable...sorry). I know there is more that drive me insane but it is the end of the day and my mind gets mushy!!!VickiTo:

Ok, so its looks like 4S has both auditory and visual triggers. It makes sense that the auditory triggers are more of an issue since its is easier to just look away than it is to mask sounds or cover ears.....

Has anyone experienced these feelings with any other sensory input..... touch? smell? taste?

I'm trying just to ascertain if 4S is a problem with all sensory input, some more than others. Or..... if there is a progression from one sensory system to another as the disorder progresses.

Yes--I have to shield my eyes if someone is leg jiggling--I get a similar but not as intense reaction as I get to audible triggers. I think it's less intense in part because it's easier to shut it out.

It really irritates me if someone is rubbing over the same part of my skin over and over. Like if my boyfriend is running his fingers over my arm...over same area repeatedly it REALLY annoys me after about 5 seconds. I also HATE to be tickled...that's all I can think of right now. I think that mainly, for me, it's the auditory and visual stimulus...no other sensory stimulus seems to compare in severity. From: a Pereira

I definitely also have difficulties with touch. I am extremely

sensitive to " itchy " fabrics and hate tags in my clothing.

I find these issues much easier to deal with than the visual and

auditory ones, I just wear only cotton or silk next to my skin and cut

out all of my tags! And it's no where near as difficult telling your

clothes that you can't stand the feel of them, than telling your

friends and family that you can't stand the sound of them!
