Ok, so its looks like 4S has both auditory and visual triggers. It makes sense that the auditory triggers are more of an issue since its is easier to just look away than it is to mask sounds or cover ears.....

Has anyone experienced these feelings with any other sensory input..... touch? smell? taste?

I'm trying just to ascertain if 4S is a problem with all sensory input, some more than others. Or..... if there is a progression from one sensory system to another as the disorder progresses.

Yes--I have to shield my eyes if someone is leg jiggling--I get a similar but not as intense reaction as I get to audible triggers. I think it's less intense in part because it's easier to shut it out.
