Guest guest
Dear All Sometime back, on one of the lists I subscribe to, there was a note about visualisation of spirochetes as floaters in the fluid in ones eyes. I have been unsuccessful in finding the post but hope that someone reading may have further info. I am aware that red blood cells contribute to floaters after a bleed or injury to the eye. What I am unsure of is the absolute physical conditions in which these are seen as red cells, circular in outline and discoid in shape. To my mind, there must be some point where these floaters are imaged accurately on the retina. If blood cells are imaged, then so might be spirochetes. If spirochetes are visualised, surely this would be a marker for significant infection or flare. Any comment gratefully received.
