Guest guest
Doc Shillington has a tincture with eyebright formula & DMSO that he sells and you use an eye cup to rinse the eye. It has helped people with cataracts to get rid of them, also from what I have read it prevents cataracts! Interesting formula, it has cayenne in it to. Burns a bit but works very well. Anyone else have any experience with this? Never tried to add DMSO to the mix, though have considered it... good to hear of a Doc doing it - must be fairly safe. I'm a bit careful when it comes to DMSO, since it has such unique and powerful properties...
Guest guest
I've used dmso in my home made eyedrops. Been using it for years with good results. Sound like Shillington had the same idea. Guest guest
How do you make your home-made eyedrops? I've been wanting to do so but didn't exactly like the old-fashioned ones I used to do w/just boiled water & boric acid, (although they worked). I like the " feel " of the commercial kind with the eye lubricants polyvinyl alcohol and Povidone but do NOT want to be stuck using commercial much longer, especially with rising prices & in case of " survival " mode NEED the eyedrops. I've never quite dared to experiment with the DMSO but wondered as have used it for just about everything else. Also, I had to have an eye operation, (epiretinal membrane aka " macular pucker " .. different than mac.degeneration but scary as to source). I only had it in 1 eye as is the general rule so did not believe that any DMSO or other product I'de used had contributed to it and I've also had several traumatic events involving my head, and 1 to my eye at one point in childhood with metal in it, so much more likely the source. But for awhile was using extra caution. At the time of the operation, my surgeon told me I was developing a cataract which may need attention in a year or two, so I would like to try the non-surgical DMSO removal suggestion from this group first Thanks for your infos.
