Guest guest
Dear Nelly More questions than answers TNF alpha and IL6 are elevated in CFS and a dozen other related disorders. It is hypothesised that TNF alpha and IL6 (among others ) may be responsible for increased gut permeability. Reduce the cytokines and ease the gut problems. Sounds so bloody simple. http://gut.bmj.com/cgi/content/extract/53/12/1724 http://www.liebertonline.com/doi/abs/10.1089/jir.2006.26.771 http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1530-0277.2001.tb02418.x?journalCode=acer. The answers may be here http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en & q=TNF+alpha+antagonists & btnG=Google+Search & meta=lr%3Dlang_en I found a link to a herbal TNF alpha inhibitor a couple of weeks back but brain is not working well tonight Here it is http://www.cababstractsplus.org/google/abstract.asp?AcNo=20033216936 R [infections] Re: Magnesium- Nelly/ : Magnesium and calcium should be taken together for acouple of reasons... Like alot of substances are optimum when in the correct ratio to each other and not so beneficial when taken separately... I always take them together and I take 300 mg Mag with 600 mg Ca. Plus you should not take over 500 mg (half a gram) at a time because they body can only absorb about that amount at one time. If you want to take a gram- then do it in 2 doses..Nelly: Hmmmmmmmmm interesting. USUALLY - anyone can keep increasing a does of Magnesium untill you reach "bowel intolerance" and diarreah results.. so if you can't take ANY amount, then it indicates that youare absorbing any - and your bowel in intolerant of any amount as you're getting the symptom of over dose with small amounts..So what happens when you eat nuts ( some are high in magnesium) - do you get diarreah from nuts also? Guest guest
I hear ya Nelly.. I understand completely. RE; Your Rrice/Fish/veggies diet You're intestines sound like someone who has to repopulate the entire intestinal mucosa after shedding the lining after a bout of Salmonella. That's what I had to eat for months after a terrible bout with Salmonella many years ago.. and I had to introduce other foods really slowly- like small bites of news stuff at one time. Since all things that goes into your mouth have to be effective by absorbing through the intestinal wall.. if that wall isn't working properly- no wonder why no meds work for you.. I'm not sure what to do in your case.. Thats the main point of entry for all substances.. Barb > > > > > > I'm a big fan of Magnesium. Guest guest
Thanks to everybody who wrote to help me with my gut problems and also to everybody who wrote to give me support. This is a small quite unique list. I feel we know everybody and although we do have our sporty moments () we all basically care. Thank you Nelly Re: [infections] Re: Magnesium- Nelly/ I hear you.Marie--- Agentbleu <colourbleu@...> wrote:> i think we all can relate to this nelly...> On 10 Mar 2008, at 23:37, Nelly Pointis wrote:> > > See, this is why I hate talking about myself, it> is so complex, so > > many things working together, I just don't have> any answers. Guest guest
Just to add to the suggestions. Did you ever try VSL #3? I use the capsules that have no filler. For years I used natren bifidus (good for the colon/liver). I still use it sometimes. Then customprobiotics was recommended to me. VERY expensive. I used their mix in powder form. But I would react to the fillers and I didn't really notice all that much from it. Contrarily, VSL# 3 is quite excellent. It's been studied in IBD and proven effective. Within the first 24 hours I took it, I noticed a distinct difference. I just take one capsule a day in water when I first get up. > > Thanks to everybody who wrote to help me with my gut problems and also to everybody who wrote to give me support.
