Guest guest
Sorry for the confusion. I define true direct access as the ability to treat without a referral under all circumstances. For example, Texas allows for a P.T. to evaluate a patient only. Treatment can be provided to a patient only if you received a referral for the same condition not more than one year previously. Obviously a quite restricted direct access. How do physicains respond to your ability to see the patient without their referral? I assume you compete for patients to some degree. Also, please define L & I. Thank you for your input. T ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Todd Cepica, P.T. Direct Access For those in true direct access states, how has this benefited your practice? What about hospital based vs private practice. Equal benefit? Do 3rd party payors recognize your treatment without a referral as a covered benefit? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Todd Cepica, P.T.
