Guest guest
Dear I should give Lloyd a call, we've been on good terms so far. The big problem is that the NHMRC (funding organisation) is comprised of fossils and reactionaries and funding for CFS has been grabbed by the Psychs. I'm more interested in bojungtikki-tang, if I can find a Korean herbalist, I might have a chance. The adverse reactions fro the anti-TNF medications is frightening, its a bit hard to read between the lines but it seems to be idiosyncratic reactions, each patient has wildly different responses. The question remains, which is cart and which is horse? R [infections] re TNF I'd love to experiment with IV anti-TNF antibody drugs if there wereever any doctor or non-doctor way to do it. MAAAAAAN they areexpensive, but it would be an awesome experiment.Sadly, the best way to do it might be to plonk it into the brain, which is damnably difficult. Over the years, I am more and more suspecting that what we need is tomeasure the concentration of CFS in our CSF. If you will. According toCort's site, as I recall, the Dubbo team now wants to do a study oncytokine levels in the CSF - which would be the first such study inCFS that I know of. Cort says their funding for that is not assured.>> Dear Nelly> More questions than answers> TNF alpha and IL6 are elevated in CFS and a dozen other relateddisorders.> It is hypothesised that TNF alpha and IL6 (among others ) may beresponsible for increased gut permeability.> Reduce the cytokines and ease the gut problems.
