Guest guest
Thank you Sue, so much, for posting this. I am so happy to see someone of Dr. Mercola's stature and influence take the Marshall protocol head on. As well as Drs and Cannel. I've been very concerned for quite a while now about people potentially being harmed by this controversial protocol. But I've been limited to speaking in code or risk being taken to court for another round with Mr. Marshall. I have no doubt that any suit by Mr Marshall would again be thrown out of court, but I haven't been physically up for that kind of emotional and financial strain. It's a moot point now, as I'm pretty sure that almost anyone would think twice before trying to pull the same kind of legal stunt on these esteemed doctors. Especially since they can back their positions with science. I hope this is a wake up call for anyone who thinks patients are nothing but lab rats, or in some cases, paychecks. The unfortunate thing is that once a person gets this kind of rap (and there are more than a few out there), nothing they say will be seen as having validity. That's a shame because some of these discredited people actually have some interesting ideas. But because their ideas can't be questioned, they will end up going nowhere. Just goes to show that a little thing like pride or greed, can take down the smartest people. Karma really can be a bitch. penny > From: sue_upstate <rhbailey@...> > Subject: [infections] Mercola says: Why I Don’t Recommend the [Protocol That Cannot Be Named] > infections > Date: Sunday, March 15, 2009, 4:00 PM > Hi all, > > An interesting article was posted at Mercola.com yesterday: > > Clearing Up Confusion on Vitamin D -- Why I Don't > Recommend the [Protocol That Cannot Be Named]l > > by Dr. Mercola > > Ever since I started promoting the benefits of vitamin D > there has been a small but vocal minority of advocates of > what is referred to as the [ " Protocol That Cannot Be > Named " ]. > > As much as I would like to ignore it due to its lack of > validity, I can no longer do so, because so many people are > using this information and at the very least, they are > placing their health at great risk and in many cases they > are damaging their health... > =========================== > > It's a long, well-reasoned article, and the responses > are very interesting. > > http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/03/14/Clearing-Up-Confus\ ion-on-Vitamin-D--Why-I-Dont-Recommend-the-Marshall-Protocol.aspx > > It will also be interesting to see how long Mercola leaves > it on his website. > > Sue B.
