How high is your son's temperature? It could be anything, but first I would make sure it has nothing to do with non-Lyme sickness, bacteria or virus. It could be something seriuos, that requires urgent doctor's help and/or even visit to the ER and if it is and you are thinking it's just a die-off, it could be dangerous.

Is High fewer could be die-off symptom of Borreliosis ?

Hi,

My 9,5 years old son has lyme and he's on azythromycin since 1 month.

He has significant positive behavioral changes since 2 week.

But since yesterday he has high fewer, really high .

He hasnt any other symptom of flu or other viral infection.

As we dont have an experienced lyme dr ,

(his DAN dr prescribed the antibiotic via phone consultation, I cant reach him urgently)

I'm curius now, this could be a die-off symptom, or a viral infection, or something else?

My son (Borellia, Bartonella, Mercury…) is responding to Antibiotics

similar way.

His immune system just picking up with help of ABx, which usually

results to fever.

He is on Zithromax, IM Bicillin LA, was on Rifampin and recently

started with

Malarone (for Babesia). With last we got fever after only three days

and was lasting

for whole week, no additional side effects –he bounce back with

improvements.

My son has borrelia and ehrilichia.

I knew that antivirals can cause this kind of die-off on viral kids

but I wasnt sure about lyme.

Is it Ok to give iboprufen sometimes for controlling the fewer?

And he's too nervous since the fewer , he was much more calmer

last 2 weeks. Is there anything to do for him to feel more comfortable?

This period can last one week or more, isn-it ?

Hi Darci,

We went much slower with antibiotics. My son was on just omnicef (in

place of zithromax) for 4 months. These gains were slower and die

off was very ugly (crazy, high ammonia), but receptive language and

fine motor skills all started to come back. Also, reduced anxiety.

Then we added mepron and those changes were within 48 hours and

miraculous. Gross motor delays were gone, excessive thirst was gone

and anxiety reduced. Also, no more sensory issues.

Then we added septra for bartonella (we are told you CANNOT take

mepron and rifampin together as they cancel out). Our gains were

minor. BUT, we saw big gains from resveratrol before adding the

septra. He stopped putting pressure on his head all the time and

regained playskills. I am hoping that we can get him off mepron soon

so that I can switch him to rifampin and zithro, which is usually

more effective.

environment for intruders' replication. When is suppressed, support

with ABX or herbals will encourage it to kick back. In our case fever

usually last for about 7 days. I know that our doctor don't mind use

of ibuprofen. In extreme cases we use tiny amount of paracetamol and

warm him up to sweat.

My son's fewer is down now, it lasts only 3 days. He's Ok today but still to tired.

I know that controlled fewer is good for kicking microbes, I first tried warm shower but when i's 103-100 and still continue to increasin

Hi

Our dr said before that paracetamol is reduicing glutathione production of body and it's not first choice.
