Guest guest
Hello Jeannette we live in Zurich which is about an hours drive from Basel. In Switzerland children start school with 6 or 7, kindergarden with 5, so you won't have to worry about that yet. As Switzerland is divided into 24 parts called "cantons", similar to the states of the US, and every state has its own school system, I can't tell you very much about the situation for children with special needs in Basel, but if you like I could get you in touch with a family or two living there. Zurich has only just stared with integration/inclusion in regular classes...From what I've heard on tv and read in the paper, Basel seems to be a bit more ahead of us. In the meantime you can read a few lines about the school system here: http://www.basel.ch/en/education The information is in English, quite a rare treat! So just let me know if you need any more help, ok? So I've been looking through the most recent Ginkgo Biloba studies on PubMed and found this statement to be accurate, at least according to the most reliable sources (I wouldn't give it to a kid with seizures though, the evidence is still contradicting and a connection can't be ruled out) Following are some of the articles and studies I have found. /Switzerland http://www.scienceb asedhealth. com/sbh/resCen/ EduFacts/ vol_05-05. asp http://www.ncbi. nlm.nih.gov/ pubmed/18214851? ordinalpos= 2 & itool=EntrezSy stem2.PEntrez..
