Guest guest
Tami, Can we have a bit more info of BLT? What does BLT stand for? What are the herbs in this tincture? What alcohol is used as preservative, if any? What does CAT stand for? What delivery agents are used to deliver the herbs transdermally, if any? Is there anything used as preservative? Thank you so much for the information. Limin From: Tamiduncan@... They may be a good option for our kids. Here are the product names and the details...BLT - This is the buhner herbs WITHOUT Andographis which Buhner said at the 2008 conference that he would not recommend for chronic lyme. This is a tincture formula and so far docs are seeing good results. It's safe for kids 8yrs old and up. 4 oz - $52.95 and lasts for quite awhile. It can be provoking so you may be able to use this for the provocation before testing as wel. The dosage for kids 8 yrs is 10 drops 3 x's per day. Adults are 1/2 tsp 3 x's per day. As with anything it may be a good idea to ramp up the dose instead of going full dose out the gate. This works on Bartonella and Lyme.CAT Cream -This is a transdermal cream that is applied opically. It has Artemisia, Cryptolepsis Root and Teasel Root. It's primary usage is for treating babesia. It can be provoking, is ok for kids and the best method is to apply a very small dab on the sole of the foot before bed at night...then have them wear socks. Go slow, may cause herx. It's $21.95 for 2 oz which will last for months if only a small dab is used. These were create by Dr. Thoring. They are ONLY available by calling his office NOT online yet. I haven't used the products personally yet but one person on this group has and has good things to say.Take care,Tami Duncanwww.liafoundation.org Listen to 350+ music, sports, & news radio stations – including songs for the holidays – FREE while you browse. Guest guest
I am still in the research phase of trying to figure out what treatment to try on my son (abx vs. herbs). Are most people working with a practitioner or just jumping in and trying products like this? I will have my son tested for CD57 and Lyme co-infections in a few weeks. > > Hello! > > I talked to a Naturopath in CA last week who has created 2 new products that show promise for lyme, babesia and bartonella.? Guest guest
: I think you will find all kinds of different routes. Some use famous docs, some use local docs, some use no docs. I think everyone does what they can with what they have. Even prominent docs may not get the results people are looking for, so they will do their own research in addition and suggest things to the doc. Also, some just want to understand more about autism treatments in general. With insurance being unpredictable and this journey taking a while, plus so many questions on relapse, etc., I think you will find each person doing whatever they can. I think most of us would like to go to our local doctor, get effective treatment and move on, but that is just not happening. Instead its a lot of work finding, affording, and having the time to access good treatment. Plus, with all the choices in treatment, now we have to figure out what to do. Thus, I thihk each of us has his/her own story. I know when I started I found parents way before I found doctors. I didn't even know any doctors existed that knew about recovery when I started. So I started with safe things, that parents were reporting worked for them, like cod liver oil and epsom salt baths. I started seeing results just from that. I kept on this journey, finding doctors here and there. Some became too expensive for the results to continue with. Some were affordable, but not broad enough in treatment options. Sometimes, I just asked local doctors things, and sometimes I just use food, like cod liver oil, broccoli sprouts, artichoke, parsley, organic foods, etc. Just using food brings lots of results in my house. I research everything, ask others of their experiences, and take everything myself that I give to my children. We are on a great path, but yes, it can be expensive, and it's definitely time-consuming. My advice to people is to pick a route that you believe in, have access to, and can afford. I find that doing something a certain way is just as important as picking which something to do. In that you will get more success in doing a particular treatment a certain way, than the treatment itself. I think if you were to pick something that wasn't working, ask others what they did to make it work before giving up on it. Sometimes, taking herbs with digestive enzymes or fats is necessary to make them work. Sometimes, the doseage has to be correct, sometimes brand is very important. Thus, whatever you choose, research to make sure you do it well. I, myself, chose herbs over antibiotics, but some do great on antibiotics, so I am not saying one is better than the other for all. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > I am still in the research phase of trying to figure out what > treatment to try on my son (abx vs. herbs).
