I think clotting disorders may underly many chronic infections. Your mother might also need to be tested for that. Whether she has a clotting defect or not, it is often recommended that blood thinners be used in conjunction with i.v. antibiotics to help get the medicine to the infected area.

Before two years my mother had a surgery in the Right femur due to an old infection that gave no result with antibiotic treatment. There are 2 days that the pain appeared again. I am in doubt because the health system in Albania is not consolidated, the doctor probably has not cleaned the infected place not good. It is possible to be repeated again so close distance of 2 years? What to do? should make another intervention?
