Guest guest
Oh- speaking of bugs, and the immune system. I just thought I'd mention that I tested (Lyne) positive for 4 IgG antibodies against weights: 18, 34, 41 & 58 Kda and was equivocal for 30 Kda. Negative on IgM. So my immune system has finally risen to the occassion - up from no antibodies at all when I was the sickest in the early 2000's... SO I'm really happy that my immune system has recognized the Lyme proteins, and is doing something about it, instead of the bugs i controll. And I feel pretty good. I'm not kidding myself that all the bugs are gone though - I've just gotten smarter about the way I fight them. Barb
Guest guest
Interesting Barb ..i'm just battling with my docs after a crisis. I was taking oxytetracyclin which didnt control my infection i had what is symptomatic of septic shock [or nealy] Septrin brought me back Septrin is effective against gram negative bacteria [spirochaetes being gram negative]... some of the symptoms were caused by endotoxins ..Have you ever tested for endotoxins? Guest guest
No- I was never tested for endotoxins. but would suspect that if you had a large enough load of GNeg Bacteria, and killed them off quickly- your body would respond as in herx symptoms. I did experience this ( not quite like sepsis - but debilitating for several hrs none the less) at the start of my Lyme therapy. I can now take abx that kill GNeg bacteria and feel just fine (as evidenced by my h. pylori therapy in April of 2010). But I also was smart enough to be taking prescirption Nystatin (5,000,000 CFUs I thnk per capsule) and Kefir inbetween doses of abx..Then I'd eat all kinds of fermented foods when abx was over. So I don't think I ever sterilized my gut the way some people do with long term abx. Barb > > > > Oh- speaking of bugs, and the immune system.
