Guest guest
Hey Barb, and all my pwc friends, Sorry I haven't been in touch. That goes for everyone who has contacted me. Have had a lot of changes going on. Moved into a new house, got seperated from husband, kids starting college etc. Even planning to get my old artistic self going again, although I know it will be at a much slower pace than before. (Stress is something I want no part of.) So the point being, my energy has been spread around on a lot of new things. The operative word there: energy! Fortunately, my energy level has been much better lately, ever since I had nerve blocks done on both sides of my head at the base of my skull. The purpose was to stop the chronic migraines. An unexpected side effect was having a huge boost in energy and relief of body pain as well. This makes me think of Jay Goldstein and how he felt that cfs/fms symptoms could be lessened by altering brain chemistry. The only problem with my miracle treatment is the nerve block wears off after a few weeks. But there's another procedure they can do which lasts for 6 months. I'm probably going to try that. I'll do pretty much anything to stop the migraines. But I'd do even more to relieve the fatigue. I think that moving out of my old neighborhood by the ocean has helped as well. Too much mold in the area (I was dx'd with an allergy to mold, kind of ironic since pretty much everywhere I've lived, there's been a lot of mold). Anyway, I'm at a higher elevation now, a couple miles inland. It's been so nice to feel better, and to feel in a good place overall, but hard to get too hopeful since so many things have seemed promising in the past. And I know the infection is still there. But to have a little bit of a life, to finally do some things I want, is nice. Anyway, hope everyone is doing better, finding relief one way or another. penny p.s. Barb, it seems to me that there have also been a number of findings that corroborate the xmrv virus in pwc. And a race is on to test drugs that might bring relief. I'd tell your friend not to throw in the towel just yet. How are you both doing.?I have a good friends, now totally debilitated with CFS, who was waiting for the drug trial for XMRV - which now looks like that won't happen, as the original study wasn't able to be replicated.Barb>> > Certainly looks good.
