There are different types of tests available epending on what type of

traits you are referring to. Is the high schooler exhibiting traits in

speech,language, and/or communication? Cognitive and/or adaptive

behavior? Sensorimotor? Social skills? If you feel that this child may

fall on the spectrum I would make an appointment with a clinician

(psychologist, neurologist, developmental pediatrician, etc.) with

training and expertise in evaluating children with developmental

disabilities.

Good luck at getting a school to take the results to help you out. We can not even get the school to take our daughter's when she was in kindigarden and we are still fighting today.
