Dear Meg,

Most (if not all?) lecithin sold as a supplement is derived from the sludge

left after they have extracted the oil from teh bean. It is likely to

contain hexane and lots of pesticides.

This was the first attempt of the soy industry to make a profit from the

waste products of soy oil.

I think soyonlineservice.co.nz had more info on lecithin.

There is no need to take it. There is good lecithin in butter, eggs, meat

fat, etc. Sally
